“I have been using Fleur as a freelance teacher for the last three years to teach dance workshops in many different styles of dance in schools across the UK. I always receive great feedback from the teachers and children about her enthusiasm for dance, her great choreography and the way she relates to children of all ages and abilities. I am always confident that Fleur will deliver a great dance workshop”.
Olivia Heiser, Director of Zest Dance Workshops
“We all thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and the children had a great time, thank you. Fleur really engaged with the children (they hung onto her every word and move!) and she came back into each classroom and talked about the history of the Bollywood film industry and dance style, Bhangra and the mix of music and dance styles across India – which really enhanced the children’s experience and helped bring our Topic focus to life”
Ashley Primary School
The most important aspect of any schools workshop is that the children have fun and get to exercise without realising it. If it’s possible to link the dance workshop to the school curriculum this can be a great compliment to the syllabus and can really solidify information through interaction. Important for helping build confidence these workshops can take place in a format to suit.
- Individual class sessions.
- Combined year group sessions
Depending on your requirements you can book in half or full day increments. It is possible to book shorter sessions but a full or half day usually represents the best value. All workshops are negotiated on the individual requirements so please feel free to get in contact.
The format for both Primary Schools and Secondary Schools is the same although content and difficulty vary. It is possible to discuss a workshop for any dance style of your choice. However, popular styles include:
- Musical Theatre
- Street/hip hop
- Bollywood (includes use of hip scarves and garlands)
- World dance styles
